Remember!
When choosing ceramic or porcelain tiles each box will have a batch number. It is important to check these numbers are all the same. Shades, colours and size can vary between different batches.
When buying "off the shelf" usually in the larger diy stores, just because the boxes of tiles are on the same pallet doesn't necessarily mean they are the same batches.
Quite often these batches are mixed when the stock levels are replenished. As a rule you have to order 10% more than the area you wish to cover.
This allows for the offcuts not used. It is also a good idea to have 2 or 3 tiles spare just in case of future changes or damages "You never know". In years to come you may find it difficult to get the same tile, especially with the same batch number.
